Fantastic planning trip
At the end of September, the Director, Producer and Editor visited Israel for one week and were able to make a number of invaluable contacts. We have hopefully found an Israeli film production company who are willing to co-produce the film. This will allow us to tap into local resources, experience and funding.
Communities were visited in the Negev, and strong support was shown by those we saw. A number of locations, and situations were highlighted for possible future inclusion in the film, and local partners and contacts agreed upon.
We also met with a number of Israeli broadcasters to talk about the possibility of the film having a broadcast deal upon completion.
All systems are now GO! Over the next couple of months, script details and budgets will be finalised, hopefully leading to another visit in January 2008 where the Director hopes to spend time within the Negev, getting to know those families and communities within which we will film.
